Dental Crowns – Avon, CT

Restoring and Protecting Your Smile

Fillings are our first suggestion for repairing minor dental issues, but larger cavities and damage usually call for a different kind of restoration: a dental crown. Crowns are versatile, as they can be used to correct all kinds of damage, strengthen a tooth that has been weakened, and improve your overall appearance. We offer conservative, customized crowns for patients of all ages. If you think you might need a crown, give us a call.

What are Dental Crowns?

Also referred to as “caps,” today’s crowns are made from natural-looking options like zirconia, EMAX, porcelain, and porcelain-fused-to-metal. A crown is carefully designed so that it fits on your natural tooth and easily stands up to the stress of biting and chewing on a daily basis.

CEREC® for Dental Crowns

The process of getting a dental crown usually involves two visits. Impressions are taken at the first, and the actual crown is placed at the second. But with the CEREC system and an in-office milling machine, we can create a ceramic crown from a scan of your teeth in about an hour.
